Russia: More than a thousand Ukrainian drones were intercepted during one night

Moscow - Ofoq News - The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the interception of 1,015 Ukrainian drones during one night, in attacks targeting 15 Russian regions, in addition to the Crimean Peninsula and the Black Sea, according to what was reported by media outlets.

The Russian authorities reported that one person was killed and 15 others were injured as a result of drone attacks that targeted the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, amid fires breaking out in oil facilities and fuel depots.

Ozone e-commerce and VK Technology also announced that their facilities, including a distribution center and a computing facility, were damaged.

The Russian "TASS" agency quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying that Moscow continues to respond to the Ukrainian attacks, without clarifying additional details about the nature of the expected response.

On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian forces targeted vital installations in four Ukrainian regions during the night, which led to a power outage for tens of thousands of families.

Zelensky added that, according to him, Russia has carried out 76 attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector, including oil and gas facilities, since announcing the cessation of attacks on infrastructure a week ago.

These developments come in light of the continuing war between Russia and Ukraine and the exchange of attacks on vital installations, amid fears of expanding damage to energy infrastructure and basic services.
