- The Brazilian club Corinthians announced, through its account on the “X” platform, on Sunday, the appointment of former Dutch star Clarence Seedorf as coach of the first football team. Corinthians said that Seedorf, 50, will have a contract until the end of 2027.
Currently, Corinthians is in 16th place in the Brazilian League standings with 32 points. Clarence Seedorf returned to coaching work after a break that lasted nearly 7 years, as he left the Cameroon national team in 2019.
He also previously led the Italian clubs Milan, the Chinese club Shenzhen, and the Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna. Seedorf is considered one of the most prominent football players during the 21st century, and he wore the shirts of the Dutch clubs Ajax Amsterdam, Sampdoria, Inter, Milan, Spain, Real Madrid, and Botafogo, Brazil.
He won the Champions League, European Super Cup, Club World Cup, Spanish League, Dutch League and Italian Cup.
