Solima Association for Psychosocial Support launches Pink October activities under the slogan “You are not alone”

Al-Ram - Ofoq News - Today, Tuesday, the Solima Association for Psychological and Social Support launched the activities of the month of Pink October under the slogan “You are not alone,” during an event held at Al-Ummah College - Al-Ram, in the presence of about 150 participants, including representatives of official and private institutions, legal and media figures, and representatives of the local community.

The event witnessed the presence of His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor, Mr. Walid Al-Bayed, and representatives of the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs and the Jerusalem Governorate, and the education and health sectors, along with representatives of local authorities, members of the Board of Directors of the Solima Association, a number of women from the Al-Ram area and students of Al-Ummah College, in addition to legal and media figures and representatives of local community institutions.

The event included official and community speeches that stressed the importance of promoting awareness of breast cancer, establishing a culture of early detection, and integrating efforts between official and private institutions and the local community to support women’s health and enhance their access to awareness, health and psychological care services.

The association also reviewed the program of Pink October events and activities scheduled during the month, through which it seeks to expand awareness of the importance of early screening, and highlight the role of mental and social health in supporting women during the journey of treatment and recovery.

The Solima Association for Psychosocial Support confirms, through its campaign “You Are Not Alone,” that supporting women is not limited to the health and physical aspects, but rather includes their psychological and social needs, and that providing a supportive and supportive environment constitutes an essential part of comprehensive care.
