The statement said: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain's full support for the position of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its efforts, leading the coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen, in supporting the Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate Yemeni government to end the coup and restore the state and its institutions, and to free the brotherly Yemen from the threat of terrorism, and to reach a comprehensive political solution in accordance with the three references, which meets the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people for security and stability."

The statement added: "The ministry condemned and strongly denounced the continued brazen attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, targeting civilians and civilian and economic sites, and its encroachment on the holiest places on earth (Mecca and Medina). It emphasized that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, under the joint defense agreement."

Manama called on the "United Nations Security Council, especially the permanent member states, to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to these attacks and threats to maritime navigation security and energy supplies, and to ensure the full implementation of its relevant resolutions, foremost among them resolutions (2216) and (2817), in order to preserve regional and international peace and security."
