On his page on the social networking site "Facebook", the marsh expert, Professor Jassim Al-Asadi, wrote an appeal drawing the attention of Your Excellencies and Excellencies in Mesopotamia, where he published a picture of Swedish Prime Minister "Ulf Kristersjön" taken during his return to his old neighborhood, where he was buying coffee and sweets from a store. Kristersjön had submitted his resignation as Prime Minister a few days ago, but he continues to lead a transitional government until a new government assumes its duties. Certainly, Mr. Jassim Al-Asadi wants to draw a comparison between the Prime Minister of Sweden, who does not perform the religious duties and does not bear the title of “Hajj,” and our senior officials who left the job, but groups of wards still watch over their comfort. The Iraqi citizen always finds himself comparing the condition of his country and its politicians to the conditions of the countries of the world, and he always asks Himself: “Do our politicians and officials care about what is happening in the countries of the world?” Certainly, gentlemen, we citizens of Mesopotamia are well aware that many of our officials and politicians consider comparison with the peoples of the world to be an abomination of the work of the devil. Certainly, the Iraqi citizen does not want them to wander in the markets like the Prime Minister of Sweden, or to go shopping alone like the former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, or to ride a bicycle like the former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson does. Everything the poor citizen wants and desires. To see a former Iraqi official walking in the street without columns of protection and shaded cars, and for an Iraqi not to feel sad when he sees an official in countries around the world going to the government headquarters without protection, this is a type ofThe Batranians, may God protect us and you from the Batranis. Gentlemen, we are a people who fear for their current and former officials. Evidenced by the fact that we still give many former officials salaries and allowances for protection personnel who do not exist on the ground, and that most of these gentlemen live in European countries. In fact, we, gentlemen, are the only country that places armies of protection for figures who do not hold positions in the state, and we block roads for them, and allocate dozens of “jassar” for them. Is it reasonable for us to allow a senior official to go shopping alone without protection, armor, or noise? Is it logical to allow people to live near the official’s house and spy on him morning and evening? You will certainly say: How great is the official when he believes that he is an ordinary human being in a time when the Iraqi official and politician insists that he does not go out into the street except with protection surrounding him on all sides, for fear of the envious looks that the Iraqi citizen holds for his Excellency. That is why I hope that my friend Jassim Al-Asadi does not look with envy at our “faithful” officials, and that he does not mislead him and make a comparison between a country whose officials are not revered, like Sweden, and a country like Iraq, in which the official is a rare type of person.
