The America I don't know!!

Listen to the article. The audio text is automated, generated by an automated system

A month ago, I landed at Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts, to resume my mission as one of three in establishing the Crown Center for Middle Eastern Studies. And teaching “The Arab-Israeli Conflict,” and as a research fellow at the same time.

I was absent from the United States for two years after I apologized last year for what I had been doing annually since 2005 with the years I lost due to compelling reasons.

September was always the date of my arrival in the New World, as it was called, and it was when my eyes were opened on American soil at O’Hare Airport in Chicago, where fate came in 1977 that my graduate studies would take place at Northern Illinois University, which I finished on September 8, 1982.

Five years later, I returned to America for a year (1987-1988), and my residency was in the American capital, Washington. And in the scientific hospitality of the Brookings Institution.

In the nineties of the last century and two decades after that, there were visits for short periods, except for health matters, to attend a seminar or give a lecture, or for a few months to teach a permanent topic about the Middle East, or to conduct research that would be published there or here, or kept in storage until the time came.

The bottom line is that I got to know America and its people on its east and west coasts, the south and the Midwest, as the days and tribulations took me.

I was trained to know that every country and state has its own path of development and progress. American conclusions were always positive morally and in terms of institutions, technology and the ability to absorb others from other peoples. America was Noah's Ark in a contemporary world, and with the conquest of space things began to extend beyond the planet.

By virtue of the study, I looked at American leaders, from George Washington, the first president, until we reached the current president who came before, after whom you do not know whether the world has changed or whether America has changed? I no longer know America.
