The Forces Condemn Attacks on Islamic and Christian Sacred Places

Ramallah - Afaq News - The leadership of the national and Islamic forces condemned the attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites, as extensive incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque are taking place with the participation of ministers and extremist settlers, as well as the prevention of the call to prayer in the Ibrahimi Mosque and its closure to worshippers.

The forces indicated after a meeting held today, Monday, the necessity of effective intervention at the Arab, Islamic, and international levels to provide protection for our people and our holy sites, and to impose a comprehensive boycott on the occupation and isolate its terrorist governments and hold them accountable for their crimes.

They considered the U.S. administration's decision to prevent the Palestinian delegation headed by the president from attending the annual General Assembly meeting at the United Nations a serious violation of the agreed terms, pointing out that this position represents a blatant bias towards the occupation in light of support and cover for its escalating crimes against our Palestinian people and the peoples of the region, which requires a rejection of these policies.

They spoke about the continuation and escalation of the occupation's crimes against our people, and the refusal to commit to stopping these crimes, especially the policy of assassinations, liquidations, and destruction in the Gaza Strip, amidst the prevention of the arrival of reconstruction materials and the removal of rubble, and the withdrawal of the occupation army, allowing the humanitarian disaster to continue in the current situation and amidst the collapse of buildings at risk of falling, as recently occurred, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of dozens.

The forces affirmed that what is happening in the West Bank and Jerusalem, including the escalation of occupation crimes, land confiscation, expansion of settlement construction, new settlements, and checkpoints, requires the unification of all efforts to confront these attempts and to strengthen our national unity and the steadfastness of our people on this land, for which they have made immense sacrifices in the pursuit of their freedom and independence.

They emphasized the importance of a comprehensive national dialogue to arrange our internal situation and implement a unified national strategy led by the Palestine Liberation Organization, the legitimate and sole representative of our people, which adheres to the rights and constants regarding the right of return for refugees, the right to self-determination, and the realization of an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty and its capital in Jerusalem, and to continue our struggle and resistance for the freedom and independence of our people and the end of the occupation.

The forces stated that what the prisoners are subjected to in the occupation's cells through torture, isolation, and deliberate medical neglect, reaching policies that lead to the killing of prisoners, of whom 92 have been martyred since October 7, 2023, and a large number of whom no one knows their numbers or identities in prisons and secret cells, requires urgent and effective intervention from international, legal, and human rights institutions in rejection of this decision and in support of our prisoners and their families.

They called for the rapid action of the International Red Cross to arrange visits for families to the prisons in light of the catastrophic conditions that the occupation is trying to use to break the will of steadfastness and challenge, emphasizing the importance of wide participation in events supporting the prisoners.
