Bethlehem - Ofoq News - Water Authority crews, in coordination with the Economic Security Team and the competent authorities, seized an illegal water connection directly connected to the conveyor line in the Al-Halqoum area of the Tuqu’ municipality, and three hoses used to withdraw water from the conveyor line.
Crews continue detection and tracking work inside agricultural lands to reach other illegal connections, as part of a field campaign to protect the conveyor line and ensure water reaches citizens.
The impact of these practices reaches directly to the citizen. Illegally withdrawing water from the transmission line depletes the quantities allocated to subscribers, and may affect the quantities of water that reach them and the regularity of supply.
The campaign will continue during the next week to control and remove illegal links, and take legal measures against violators.
The Water Authority calls on citizens to report any illegal connections on the transmission line, to contribute to protecting water and ensuring that it reaches those who deserve it.
