The Yemeni armed forces, supported by popular resistance, regained control of the Al-Maqarama and Al-Zukaira areas in the Al-Shamayatain district, south of Taiz province, in the southwest of the country, on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, a correspondent for Al Arabiya/Al Hadath reported that the Yemeni warplanes are targeting gatherings and Houthi vehicles north of Marib and west of Al-Jawf.
He also mentioned that a strike by the Yemeni warplanes targeted a Houthi missile platform west of Al-Jawf.
The Yemeni armed forces announced the execution of 257 precise and qualitative targeting operations against the positions and movements of the Houthi militia.
The military operations resulted in the neutralization of no less than 700 elements of the militias during the recent strikes.
The official Yemeni news agency reported a military source stating that the armed forces and the popular resistance from the people of the Samah district managed to control the strategic Al-Ja'sha mountain, after tightening their control over the Al-Hisan mountain in Samah, amidst significant human and material losses within the terrorist Houthi militia, including the killing and injury of dozens of its members.
The source indicated that confrontations are still ongoing, coinciding with the armed forces launching counterattacks in the fronts of Al-Habashi, Al-Kadhah, and Al-Shamaytin, and liberating the areas of Al-Maqarima and Al-Zukaira, which witnessed violent confrontations resulting in the defeat of the militias and significant losses for them.
On Saturday, fierce battles continued between the government forces and the popular resistance on one side, and the Houthi militia on the other, across several fronts in Taiz governorate, coinciding with airstrikes targeting militia positions, movements, and reinforcements.
The media center of the Taiz military axis clarified that the fierce battles continued for the third consecutive day in several fronts of the Taiz axis, focusing on Al-Kadhah and Bani Bakari in the Al-Habashi district, the Samah front in the south of the governorate, and Jabal Han in Al-Dabab, confirming that the armed forces made progress in Samah and repelled a violent Houthi attack in Al-Dabab.
According to the center, the armed forces, supported by popular resistance, achieved field progress on the Samah front and managed to regain control of Mount Al-Husn after violent clashes with the Houthi militia.
On the Al-Dhabab front west of the city of Taiz, government forces repelled a violent attack launched by the Houthi militia on Mount Han and Hadran, forcing the militia to retreat after intense confrontations and inflicting heavy losses on them.
Other fronts also witnessed intermittent clashes and artillery shelling, during which government forces targeted militia gatherings, vehicles, and weapons in Mount Ghurab and the Qarn Hill west of the city. They also targeted a tank belonging to the militia on the northern front and shelled Houthi gatherings in the Central Security camp on the eastern front.
The media center for the Taiz axis indicated that government forces thwarted, on Saturday evening, two infiltration attempts carried out by the Houthi militia on the Al-Anin front in the Jabal Habashi district and the Mount Han front west of Taiz, forcing them to retreat. It pointed out that the confrontations resulted in the death and injury of dozens of Houthi militia members.
These developments come amid a simultaneous Houthi military escalation witnessed on several fronts in Taiz province, alongside Houthi attempts to advance in several axes, which are met with counterattacks and operations from government forces and popular resistance.
