In the summer of 1215, on the banks of the Thames in England's Runnymede meadow, King John was nothing more than a tyrant tired of being oppressed by his subjects. The barons stood at the point of sword before his throne, and forced him to sign a paper written with blood and determination: “Magna Carta,” the Magna Carta, affirming for the first time that no one is above the law.

However, tyranny does not die easily; As soon as the revolutionaries turned their backs, the king rushed to his greatest ally - the Church - to break the covenant. The Pope blessed the breaking of the covenants and described the moral document as invalid because it was taken under duress. But history does not bend; The revolutionaries returned with their iron and patience to impose the law against the will of the tyrants.

Today, the story is repeated with the same features, but on a broader and more cruel bloody stage.

Gaza.. The trial of the century at the table of extermination. When humanity put the end of its major wars in the twentieth century, a modern “Magna Carta” was formulated for the world: the Geneva Conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Charter of the United Nations and the two International Covenants on Human Rights. However, its biggest and final test fell on the outskirts of Gaza, under the sound of bombardment, and in full view of a world that claims to be civilized.

What does the “Church of the Modern Age” - represented by the international community and its great institutions - do in the face of the annihilation of an entire people and the destruction of all components of their lives?

They are watching!

Just like the Pope who blessed the violation of the Magna Carta, the world today stands silently complicit in the Israeli occupation forces committing the most heinous documented crimes that undermine all human laws and customs:

* Tens of thousands of victims, most of them children and women, in flagrant violation of the principle of the right to life (Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights).

* Targeting medical, civil defense and relief personnel, bombing hospitals and killing hundreds of paramedics and relief workers while performing their duty, horribly violating the special protection provided for medical teams and the wounded, in accordance with the Fourth Geneva Convention (Articles 18 and 20).

* Targeting journalists and media facilities, assassinating freelance writers and destroying their headquarters to obscure the truth, in flagrant violation of Article 79 of Additional Protocol I attached to the Geneva Conventions, which treats journalists as civilians enjoying full protection.

* The comprehensive destruction of infrastructure and property and the scorched earth policy by leveling thousands of residential homes, factories, and shops to the ground, which represents a violation of Article (53) of the Geneva Convention, which prohibits the destruction of property.

* Annihilating the water and sanitation sector, and deliberately systematically disrupting water stations and drainage networks and bulldozing their lines, which is consistent with the prohibitions contained in Article (54) of the First Additional Protocol that prevents the destruction of objects that are indispensable for the survival of the population.

In the face of this black record, the Israeli occupation forces violated international humanitarian law and international human rights law and decided to empty the covenants of their meaning when it came to the blood of Palestinians, so that these covenants would turn into ink on paper, and the UN bodies would be content with the role of the mute witness who provides immunity to the executioner.

Throughout history, rights have never been restored by weak statements of denunciation, nor by begging dead consciences at the tables of international politics. The free people have always realized that the law of the jungle can only be broken by the will of the revolutionaries who brought the Magna Carta back to life through the force of blood and patience.

Today, in the face of this horrific moral collapse of the global justice system, history stands alert, bearing witness to the inability of institutions and the complicity of capitals, leaving the biggest and deepest question hanging on the horizon of blood, freedom and human dignity.

Previously, the revolutionaries restored the Magna Carta to its proper state by the point of the sword and the will to persevere.

Do the free people of the world and its victims have the courage today to extract international law from the teeth of the law of the jungle, to restore human dignity, do justice to the victims, and lead the perpetrators to the guillotine of complete historical justice?
