The struggle over Netanyahu's legacy

The intensification of the electoral battle in Israel is part of the struggle that is taking place over Netanyahu’s legacy and the legacy that he preserved and which all politicians are immersed in. Whoever wants to enter the political arena in Israel must wear the shirt of the Israeli right, in a kind of funny match. Everyone wears the same shirt, and everyone uses one ball. He has the right to use his legs, hands, and everything. He has one goal to shoot goals against, even though there is no real goalkeeper. The goalkeeper is tied by his feet and hands to a corner of the field, as he is subject to the laws of the field. The occupation, and above all, the referee shares the same game with the players. Israeli law is made for a democracy that does not include Arabs. Menachem Begin, the former Israeli prime minister, made laws to “annex East Jerusalem” in July 1980, followed by the annexation of the Syrian Golan in December 1981. However, Netanyahu introduced the old laws with obstacles that make the new Israeli equation based on the rule of “peace for peace” “instead of land for peace,” which means that Netanyahu put the restoration of rights in The isolated station, which no politician in Israel can reach, and the restrictions that were formulated during his reign stipulate conditions that make negotiations easy to achieve. However, the results of the negotiations and achieving the restoration of the rights stipulated in accordance with international law are a matter that requires, first, a two-thirds vote by the Israeli Knesset to return the lands subject to what it called (Israeli sovereignty), meaning Jerusalem and the Golan, which was approved in March 2014 as an effective constitutional law, and not as an ordinary popular referendum. What does getting 80 mean? One vote out of 120, or going to the second option, which requires approval (half of the Knesset + 1), followed by holding a constitutional referendum to approve the restoration of rights according to what it calls making concessions, which means that Israel is ready to engage in long negotiations in which the negotiations will consume the entire time, so that any Israeli government can only have the right to negotiations, without restoring internationally recognized rights, while the issue of occupying the land and cultivating it with settlements continues, on the basis and laws of expropriation. Here lies Netanyahu's heavy legacy, which was accompanied by an era of exporting ideology and raising levels of extremism, all the way to what was announced in the programs of the active Israeli parties that shared in rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state, and the successive lawsuits between demanding the end of the Palestinian Authority and the displacement of the population of Gaza, and the expansion of settlement over two decades in addition to the methodology of restricting two million Palestinians between the Negev and the Galilee, which means that the Palestinian presence, even within the Green Line, has become He lacks a point of safety. Therefore, Netanyahu’s legacy becomes a partisan crisis for those who wish to enter the path of power. Thus, Netanyahu succeeded in bringing the Israeli parties into a dark room, then closed the door on them and left them to fight sometimes over him and sometimes among themselves. While the electorate has become divided between electoral camps that agree with each other in order to gain power, and later struggle between details and ideology, and in the face of the large number of parties, simply agreeing among them to form a government has become a dilemma. How can these parties reach a real negotiating logic that pushes towards political solutions when they are essentially a structure?A self-interested partisanship governed by the philosophy of the party preserving its camp, its audience, and its voters, which has made Israel the place with the most dead parties on the face of the earth, and the most likely place for the birth of new parties, all of which compete to be the representative of the ideology, the solid material that always becomes the reference for politicians in years of political impotence or political old age. Thus, the party scene turns into a race towards devouring rights, the distance and the closest place to continuing to maintain audience gain and political marketing for the party. The real crisis today and tomorrow is within. Israel has lost the issue of oppression and is trying to search for it by moving from war to war. However, Israel will not be able to achieve any political gains from wars. Whoever closed the political gate at the beginning of the road will not emerge from the burdens of wars, and this is what is now taking the world to moral and self-interested commitment alongside the Arab world.
