Unusual Warning from Washington: Stock Up on Water and Food and Prepare for Escalation

Tel Aviv - Afaq News - The American diplomatic missions in Israel and the Middle East have renewed a general security warning for American citizens in the region, amid rising security tensions and fears of a rapid escalation.

According to the warning, Iran and its supported groups, including the Houthis who have carried out attacks targeting sites in Saudi Arabia, may pose a threat to American interests and facilities in the Middle East and beyond, including embassies, diplomatic facilities, and American companies and institutions.

The United States also warned its citizens of the possibility of disruptions in air travel and the closure of airspace in some countries in the region, urging them to continuously monitor security developments and be prepared for the possibility of rapid changes in circumstances.

The American missions also urged their citizens to raise their level of vigilance, keep a stock of water and food, and download alert and notification applications to follow any urgent security developments.

The warning comes amid escalating regional tensions and the simultaneous developments on several fronts, prompting Washington to renew its warning measures for its citizens in the region.
