- The "Emmy" ceremony witnessed a series of striking appearances as television stars flocked to the "Peacock" theater in Los Angeles, USA, to attend the 78th edition of the ceremony on Monday evening. American actress Megan Thee Stallion arrived at the event in an outfit resembling the Emmy award statue, in one of the most unusual choices on the red carpet.
As for the majority of the actresses, they opted for more elegant and classic styles. Just days after debuting her new short "pixie" haircut, American actress and singer Zendaya dazzled in a dress specially designed for her by the Italian house "Prada." The design was semi-transparent and covered with what appeared to be dangling crystal beads, while she completed her look with striking diamond jewelry.
American singer and actress Selena Gomez chose a sparkling dress made of golden metal chains designed by the French house "Louis Vuitton." Accompanying the white color was the look of American actress Nicole Kidman, who wore a white dress specially designed for her by the French house "Chanel."
The design featured an off-the-shoulder cut and a sculpted structure made of white wool crepe fabric, with a thigh-high slit. The most notable element was the neckline adorned with three-dimensional flowers handmade from various materials, including silk crepe, silk organza, and raffia.
American actress Michelle Pfeiffer added a striking touch to her black silk dress designed by the French house "Saint Laurent" with a brooch inspired by sun rays and wide metal bracelets. Meanwhile, American actress Chase Infinity wore a black organza dress designed by the French house "Louis Vuitton," distinguished by embroidery made of copper cabochon stones.
The red carpet was not devoid of archive dresses, which have become one of the prominent choices that stars resort to for reintroducing iconic designs from the history of fashion houses. American actress Odessa A'zion revived one of the archival designs from the French house "Jean Paul Gaultier" by choosing a suit consisting of a jacket and a skirt adorned with fringes, from the Fall/Winter 1996 collection. In contrast to the classic looks, there were also more bizarre and daring options, including the appearance of American actress Shailene Woodley, who arrived at the event in a striking design with an open chest from the "Balenciaga" haute couture collection for Fall 2026. The striking details were not limited to the stars, as men also had their share of bold choices.
Embellished suits have increasingly appeared on the red carpets, as American actor Jeff Hiller and Scottish actor Alan Cumming presented this trend in two different styles. Meanwhile, American actor Oscar Isaac, who wore a design from the French house "Céline", and American actor Noah Wyle, each redefined the elegance of the formal suit in lighter shades, moving away from the traditional black.
Also noteworthy was the presence of American Law Roach, Zendaya's stylist for years, who appeared in a decorated and embroidered look from the Italian house "Givenchy", adding a striking presence to the red carpet for someone who usually stands behind the stars' looks.
