On Wednesday, Yemeni warplanes launched 6 air strikes targeting sites, gatherings, and military vehicles belonging to the Houthi group in the Al-Misrakh and Jabal Habashi districts, south and west of the city of Taiz.
A military source, a correspondent for Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath, reported that the raids targeted a Houthi military convoy in the Ras Najd Qassim area of Al-Misrakh District, south of Taiz, as it was heading towards the city.
The source added that other raids targeted a site and gathering of Houthi members in the vicinity of Al-Hanjar point, west of Taiz, which, according to military information, resulted in the killing and wounding of dozens of members of the group, in addition to the destruction of a tank and a military vehicle.
The raids came after the Houthi group sent military reinforcements to the western front of the city of Taiz, according to military sources.
Government forces had captured 5 members of the Houthi group on the Al-Dhabab Front, including senior security leaders working in the Preventive Security and Anti-Narcotics Services, hours before sending reinforcements.
In another field development, the Media Center of the Yemeni Armed Forces published, on Wednesday, photos that it said document attacks carried out by the drone unit of the Seventh Military Region against the barracks and fortifications of the Houthi group on the fronts of Ma’rib Governorate.
The center explained, through its official account on the “X” platform, that the photos document the operations of targeting sites and fortifications belonging to the group, without revealing the toll of the resulting losses.
These developments come in light of the continuing military confrontations between government forces and the Houthi group on the Taiz and Marib fronts.
