A strange shot of a player in the French League.. This is what he did with his fingers and eyes before the match

“X” platform users shared a photo of Ivorian Martial Godot, a Strasbourg club player, on the sidelines of the match against Auxerre, at the “Lamino” stadium, on Sunday, in the French League (Ligue 1). The footage showed Martial Godot performing a strange ritual before the starting whistle, as he performed a warm-up for his eyes to enhance his visual and mental focus.

The Ivorian player moved his fingers, thumb and index finger, in opposite directions quickly, and followed them with his eyes. He also blinked rapidly, opening and closing his eyes separately and in succession very quickly.

In the match, Martial Godot scored a goal that helped his club Strasbourg achieve victory over the guest, Auxerre, with a score of 1/5, in the ninth round of “Ligue 1”. This was the first goal for the 23-year-old Ivorian player in the French League this 2026/27 season.
