Al-Zandani: The Declaration of Mobilization and Call to Arms is an Expression of Every Yemeni's Responsibility to End the Houthi Coup

The Yemeni Prime Minister, Sha'if Al-Zandani, confirmed that the declaration of general mobilization and national alert embodies the nature of the current phase and translates the responsibility of every Yemeni in defending the republican system and state institutions, leading to the end of the Houthi coup and restoring the state's sovereignty over the entire national territory.

Al-Zandani explained, during his visit to the wounded government forces at Aboud Military Hospital in the temporary capital, Aden, that this national obligation complements the sacrifices of those stationed at the frontlines who are fighting a decisive battle against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.

The Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of raising the readiness level of hospitals and health facilities, both military and civilian, to face the repercussions of the Houthi military escalation and respond to the increasing medical and humanitarian needs.

Al-Zandani pointed out that the government is dealing with the developments as an "exceptional phase" that requires the highest levels of coordination and readiness, not only on the military confrontation lines but also includes the service and humanitarian system, considering the health sector as a main support line for the armed forces.

The Prime Minister renewed the state's commitment and care for the wounded and injured, affirming that the sacrifices made will remain a fundamental pillar in the path of completing the liberation of the country and restoring its institutions and the rule of law.

This statement from the Yemeni Prime Minister comes a day after the announcement by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, of a state of general mobilization and national alert, in a move to confront the escalation of the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

Al-Alimi launched a national call to bear arms and urged citizens to "contribute in every possible way" to the fight against the Houthis.

He also announced an immediate amnesty for Houthi fighters who decide to defect from the group.
