Arraba: The Arab Follow-Up Committee Prepares for the Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Uprising March

Araba - Afaq News - The Higher Follow-up Committee for Arab Citizens in the 48 territories has called for widespread participation in the Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Uprising march, which will take place at 4 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in the city of Araba, starting from in front of the old mosque (Zaher Al-Omar Street) and concluding in the school square near the memorial for the martyrs.

The call came in a statement issued after a meeting of the Follow-up Committee's secretariat, during which the final arrangements for commemorating the "Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Uprising" were agreed upon.

The Follow-up Committee emphasized that broad public participation would affirm the commitment to confront the comprehensive assault being waged by the Israeli authorities against us in the Negev, Galilee, Triangle, and coastal cities, which includes house demolitions, land confiscation, settlement expansion, silencing dissent, and tightening the noose on our right to engage in political work and unleashing crime and violence in our community.

The Follow-up Committee strongly condemned the decisions of the Central Elections Committee to disqualify everything that represents the Arab community and the majority decision of the Israeli Supreme Court to prevent the leader of the National Democratic Assembly, Sami Abu Shahada, from running for office.

The Follow-up Committee called for strengthening national unity to defend our right to political action and to confront the fascist racist assault targeting everything Arab, including medical staff, bus drivers, university students, leaders, and political parties.

In the follow-up statement, it was mentioned: "We stand in reverence and honor for our noble martyrs, and it is our duty to preserve their memory and to be loyal to the cause for which they were martyred, which is the cause of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, and the cause of Palestine that is witnessing the most difficult phase in its history: a war of extermination, comprehensive destruction, displacement, uprooting, settlement expansion, brutal repression, besieging existence, and tightening the noose on daily life."

The statement concluded: "We invite you to participate in visiting the graves and memorials: Jatt at 8:00; Umm al-Fahm at 9:30; Muawiya at 10:30; Nazareth at 12:00; Kafr Kanna at 12:30; Kafr Manda at 13:30; Sakhnin at 14:30; Araba at 15:00 (and then the march at 16:00 in Araba).
