The Egyptian security forces in Qena Security Directorate arrested 5 people, including a bride and another woman, following the circulation of a video on social media, in which several individuals were seen dancing while carrying firearms during a wedding in the village of Asmant, affiliated with the Nakada Center, west of Qena Governorate.

According to what was published by press sources quoting the security forces, the incident began after monitoring the circulation of a video of a wedding, in which the bride was seen on the podium dancing while holding an automatic weapon, while several participants in the wedding were seen carrying automatic weapons and dancing with them.

According to Egyptian media, upon examination, it was found that the video is old and dates back about a year and a half, and it is not a recent recording as its current circulation on social media might suggest.

The security forces were able to identify and arrest 5 individuals connected to the incident, including 3 men and 2 women, among whom were the bride and her relative, and the weapon used in the incident was seized.

A report was filed regarding the incident, and the relevant investigative authorities were notified to initiate legal proceedings, while the investigation unit of the Nagada Police Station was tasked with conducting the necessary inquiries to uncover the circumstances of the incident.

Social media users circulated the video again in recent hours, bringing the incident back into the spotlight, even though the clip itself dates back to an earlier period.
