The Egyptian Cabinet Media Center highlighted the launch of the “EGYPT Chat” platform, during the activities of the Egypt Forum 2026, as a unified interactive digital platform aimed at countering rumors using artificial intelligence techniques, and enhancing the availability of correct information from its official sources.

The center explained that the platform represents an integrated tool for monitoring, verifying and responding to rumours, according to an institutional approach that aims to provide reliable information at the appropriate time, which contributes to limiting the spread of misleading information and correcting it before its circulation expands.

The “EGYPT Chat” platform also includes four main sections, including the news section, awareness, statistics, and citizens’ inquiries, allowing the provision of information and awareness of current issues, in addition to providing a means of interacting with citizens’ inquiries.

Meanwhile, the platform relies on artificial intelligence techniques to analyze texts, images, and video clips, and link them to the correct temporal and informational context, which helps detect misleading content and methods of manipulating information in early stages.

Today, Monday, the Cabinet Media Center indicated that more than 21,000 graphic elements have been entered on the platform so far, in addition to daily statements by officials in the media, to support the process of verifying circulating information and referring to relevant official data.

The platform is based on a mechanism for institutional integration and coordination between ministries, agencies, and governorates, through a decentralized work system that allows each official body to include its own approved data and information in accordance with its competencies, which contributes to accelerating the correction of inaccurate information.

The “EGYPT Chat” platform comes within the framework of efforts to enhance societal awareness and confront rumors and misleading information, by employing modern technology to facilitate access to official information and verify its authenticity.
