Ramallah - Ofoq News - The Director General of the Palestinian Civil Defense Service, Major General Akram Thawabta, discussed with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arkan Real Estate Company, Riyad Nazzal, during a meeting held today, ways to enhance cooperation in preventing risks and raising emergency response readiness in real estate and investment projects, in a way that ensures the safety of citizens and workers and protects property and infrastructure.
The meeting focused on the safety needs of existing and planned projects, especially in the “Jericho Gate” project implemented by Arkan in the city of Jericho, where both parties stressed the importance of technical and field coordination in a manner commensurate with the nature of these projects and the needs of the residents and surrounding communities.
Areas of cooperation included developing fire and accident prevention procedures, activating emergency plans, enhancing periodic inspection and evaluation of work sites, in addition to qualifying workers and contractors to deal with risks and respond to accidents.
