Coalition Spokesman: Air Defenses Foiled Houthi Hostile Attempts

The spokesperson for the "Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen" announced today, Saturday, the success of the Saudi air defense forces in intercepting and destroying a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi terrorist militia towards the city of Riyadh early Saturday.

The spokesperson, "Major General Turki Al-Maliki," stated in a statement published on X: "The escalation by the Houthi terrorist militia and its continued attempts to target civilians and civilian objects in Riyadh confirms the obstinacy of this militia and its persistence in systematically targeting civilians and civilian objects in a terrorist and hostile manner."

Major General Al-Maliki added that the Houthi militia attempted to target civilians and civilian objects in the cities of (Bish, Taif, Farasan, and Yanbu), and the hostile attempts were thwarted by the air defenses.

Major General Al-Maliki affirmed the inherent right of the coalition leadership to take what it deems appropriate in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules to deter the behavior of the Houthi terrorist militia.
