US President Donald Trump revealed, in an interview conducted on Friday, that he expects to make more changes in his administration in the wake of the defeat suffered by the Republican Party in the midterm congressional elections. Which suggests that chief of staff, Susie Wiles, is not the only person who will be replaced. Speaking with CBS' Ross Douthat in an interview scheduled to air Sunday on "60 Minutes," Trump answered "yes" when asked if he planned to fire some officials.

“To some extent,” Trump said, adding: “I like the members of my administration, and I think they're good, but I'll probably make some changes.” This interview came on the same day that Trump announced he would replace Susie Wiles with Stephen Miller, a staunch loyalist known for his sharp views, who previously served as a senior adviser and led Trump's immigration agenda.

When asked if he still trusted Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth - whom some Republicans blamed for the party's failures in the midterm elections - he replied: "Yes, I do.
