Due to a Wedding.. 3 People Chase a Popular Singer in Egypt and the Interior Ministry Reveals the Details

The Egyptian Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances surrounding a video circulated on social media, in which a popular singer is seen pleading for help after being chased by three individuals in a private car, who attempted to assault her using a wooden stick in the Monufia Governorate.

Upon investigation, it was found that the incident dates back to September 11, when the singer, residing in Giza Governorate, filed a report at Ashmon Police Station, accusing three individuals, residing in the center's jurisdiction, of chasing her and attempting to assault her with their hands and a wooden stick.

She refused to perform at the wedding.

According to what the Ministry published in its statement yesterday evening, the investigations revealed that the dispute began over a wedding ceremony that the singer was scheduled to perform on September 10, after she had contracted to perform at the event. However, she refused to get out of the car upon her arrival at the venue.

The singer explained that she made her decision due to her fear of the heavy crowd and the low level of lighting at the event location, before leaving the place.

Subsequently, the video clip was posted on social media, especially after she learned that one of the defendants had filed a report against her on September 14, complaining about her failure to perform at the wedding.

The Interior Ministry apprehends the suspects and the vehicle.

The security services were able to identify and apprehend the three individuals who appeared in the video, in addition to seizing the vehicle used in the incident.

Upon confrontation, they admitted to committing the act, explaining that the singer had received a financial amount in exchange for performing at the wedding, but upon her arrival at the venue, she refused to get out of the car and left, which, according to their statements, caused them embarrassment in front of the locals.

They added that they followed her in an attempt to stop her, while the singer later refunded the financial amount through her agent.

The security agencies took the necessary legal measures regarding the incident, and the Public Prosecution has taken over the investigation.
