- The Turkish series "Eşref Rüya" concluded its events on Wednesday with an episode that achieved the highest viewership ratings in Turkey "across all categories," according to what was published by the official account of the series on Instagram on Thursday. It may be credited to the creators of the work for their ability to attract viewers' attention for two seasons and over 47 episodes, especially since the fate of the hero is known, as the series opened its events with the death of "Eşref," leaving the question that has long persisted in the audience's mind: how did that happen?
Especially since the series "Eşref Rüya" presents its hero as a superhuman, invincible character, who has always had the ability to eliminate his enemies, often doing so alone and with a lot of gunfire. Even in the final episode, while "Eşref" faced his death, he managed to eliminate his last and most powerful enemy, "the old man," with a bullet to the head.
Throughout the episodes of the series, "Eşref" was a man of principles, despite being a mafia leader in reality, fighting his enemies with honor and showing them their demise at his hands, while remaining always loyal to his one true love, proving the truth of his saying, "the heart loves only once." "Nisan," whom he loved since childhood and searched for throughout his life, turned out to be the same "Nisan" he once thought had betrayed his one true love. "Nisan," who later turned out to be the daughter of "the old man," his fiercest enemy, and while he thought he was the one causing her troubles, it later became clear that she was the cause of the greatest dangers he faced in his life.
In episode 46 (the penultimate), "Eşref" managed to save "Nisan" from the hands of "the old man," but the latter kidnapped their daughter, without the couple having the chance to embrace their daughter at the moment of her birth, leaving the viewers of the series in a state of sorrow and anticipation. The events of episode 47 of the series painted the conclusion of the events in a way that can be said to have exceeded expectations; "Nisan" managed to find their daughter after 3 years, allowing her and "Eşref" to embrace their daughter in an emotional scene.
However, those emotional moments were a prelude to the final scene in "Eşref"'s life, which he carefully orchestrated, as he sent his loved ones to dinner, including "Nisan," "Gordal," and "Farouk," to keep them safe during his anticipated confrontation with "the old man." The confrontation was highly thrilling, before leaving the viewers with the opportunity to follow the continuation of the opening scene of the series with the death of "Eşref," who killed his enemies and died alone and handsome.
In the scene of the hero's death, and continuing from the events of the penultimate episode, "Shidam" commits suicide while "Qadir" is presenting her with a wedding ring, causing darkness to fall in his eyes. He decides to confess to "Ashraf" about killing "Yaqoub Baba," the leader of the orphans. Amidst "Ashraf"'s surprise, "Qadir" decides to atone for his sins by protecting his arch-enemy and saving him from the penultimate confrontation with "The Old Man."
As for the end of the series, it can be described as magical and moving. After 10 years since "Ashraf"'s death, his daughter "Roya" and his beloved "Nisan" discover a final video message he left for them on the night of his murder. "Nisan" and "Roya" establish a youth care center in honor of "Ashraf"'s memory.
In his famous car "Fustuq"; the series concludes with a dialogue between "Roya" and "Nisan," as they drive the car forward on a long road through the forests, symbolizing the future, while the latter sees the reflection of "Ashraf"'s face in the mirror from afar, while he turns his back and walks in the opposite direction.
