Gaza - Afaq News - Hundreds of citizens participated today, Saturday, in bidding farewell to two Christian martyrs killed by the Israeli occupation army in an airstrike in Gaza City.
Five citizens were martyred, including a mother and her daughter from the Christians in Gaza, and several others were injured in an airstrike that occurred early today.
The bodies of the two martyrs were transferred to the Orthodox Church in the Old Town, where the funeral ceremonies took place with wide participation.
Fouad Ayad, a relative of the two martyrs, said they were surprised by the martyrdom of mother Maria Hafiz Al-Najjar and her daughter Maysa Khadr Abu Dawood in the bombing early today.
He told our reporter that Christians in Gaza feel afraid for their lives, especially after the loss of the two women, and before that 19 Christians in the church, and before them six in the southern Gaza Strip, among others.
He added: "The news hit us like a shock; the husband of the deceased and her daughter were martyred in the war, and today she and her second daughter are gone too."
He affirmed that the occupation's assaults do not differentiate between Muslims and Christians, whether in the West Bank, Jerusalem, or even Gaza; in the end, the blood is one, and the people are one, and the rocket does not distinguish between Muslim and Christian blood.
He called for adhering to national unity to stop the flow of blood.
