Saudi Minister of Investment Fahd Al-Saif confirmed, during a ministerial session on Saudi Vision 2030 moderated by “Arabia Business” within the activities of the World Petroleum Conference (WPC Energy) in Riyadh, that the Kingdom continued to enhance its investment attractiveness despite global economic challenges, noting that foreign direct investment recorded a growth of about 6.5% during the first half of 2026.
Al-Saif said that foreign direct investment flows continued to grow over the past year despite the circumstances and changes facing the global economy, stressing that the sustainability of financial policy in the Kingdom contributed to giving investors the confidence necessary to make long-term investment decisions.
He added that the vital sectors in Saudi Arabia witnessed a growth of about 160% in foreign direct investments, while the volume of investments in the Kingdom has doubled since 2015, which reflects the continued attractiveness of the Saudi economy and its ability to attract global capital, supported by economic reforms and economic diversification programs emanating from Vision 2030.
The minister stated that energy is the foundation and essence of the Saudi success story in the past, but progress is clear in giving the private sector an opportunity to play an important role.
He explained that the energy sector accounts for 22% of public investments in the Kingdom.
