Iran: America Prepares to Resume Military Operations with Support from Regional Countries

- Iran claimed that it received information indicating that the United States, supported by some regional countries, is preparing to resume operations against Iran, according to the Iranian Central Military Command. In a statement issued on Sunday and reported by the semi-official Iranian news agency "Tasnim", the Iranian Central Military Command stated that any American attack would lead to continuous strikes on American bases and interests in the region, warning that regional countries supporting the "American aggression" against Iran would be considered parties to the conflict.

The Afaq News network contacted the American Central Command for comment. The United States has not carried out any strikes on Iran for about two weeks.

The U.S. military had stated that it destroyed five Iranian oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman on September 8, in response to Iranian attempts to launch missile attacks on a U.S. Navy ship, while the Iranian Revolutionary Guard claimed it fired ballistic missiles at a U.S. base in Jordan. There are no indications of a resumption of negotiations between the United States and Iran.

Iran's chief negotiator, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, stated on Sunday: "We must confront the enemy and inflict devastating blows on it using our full military power," according to the "Tasnim" agency. He added: "But after we achieve significant success on the battlefield and weaken the enemy, we should use diplomacy to consolidate these gains."
