Iran Reveals: We Presented the United States with Seven Conditions to Open Negotiations

Tehran - Afaq News - The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Mohsen Rezaei, revealed on Saturday that Tehran has informed the U.S. administration, through Qatar, of its conditions for starting negotiations, and is now awaiting a response from President Donald Trump.

He wrote on X: "Iran has presented the U.S. administration with seven conditions to start any negotiations. Tehran's message is clear and unequivocal: If Washington wants to get out of this complex situation it has created for itself and avoid deepening its involvement, it has no choice but to accept Iran's rights and conditions."

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Rezaei stated that Iran is still in contact with the Qatari mediator, who conveyed the demands to Washington in order to end the war.

According to him, the conditions set by Tehran include ending the war on all fronts, releasing frozen Iranian assets, and lifting the maritime blockade imposed by the United States.

Rezaei said: "Tehran's message is clear and unequivocal: If Washington wants to get out of the quagmire it has created for itself and not get further entangled, it has no choice but to recognize Iran's rights and accept its conditions." He added: "It is in Washington's interest to accept our conditions to exit the war."

In addition to its readiness to return to the negotiating table, Rezai issued a threat to the United States, stating that the possibility of another American attack still exists, but Iran is prepared for it.

He revealed that Tehran has changed its military stance and is ready for a "decisive war" if political efforts do not bear fruit.

Rezai also pointed to informal talks, stating that Pakistan, along with Qatar, is also participating in attempts to resume negotiations. These talks continue after the expiration of the memorandum of understanding reached in Islamabad, which aimed to stop the fighting and pave the way for a broader settlement between the two sides. Since then, Washington and Tehran have exchanged accusations of violating the agreements.
