Mohammad Mokhber, advisor and assistant to Iranian Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, considered that Israel is “incapable of doing anything without the support of the United States, despite all the propaganda being promoted.”
An informant said in statements, today, Monday, during a dialogue seminar, that “the belief that the Zionist regime is independent of the United States is just a joke,” according to what was reported by Tasnim News Agency.
He also considered that Europe, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and other powers had also entered the war on America's side against Iran. He said, "The American bases in European countries and the British bases are at the disposal of the Americans, and they are using these same capabilities in the confrontation with Iran."
He claimed that 10% of the goals of the war against his country were not achieved.
In addition, he added, “Saying that Iran has never been defeated in any war is wrong; rather, it has been defeated in all wars, except during the current regime,” according to him.
As for the Strait of Hormuz, he said: “Some say let us give up the Strait of Hormuz so that we do not lose the rest of the country, but by the same logic the Turkmenchay Treaty was signed and parts of the country were lost.”
These statements, especially about Israel, came after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reaffirmed, yesterday evening, that he would sooner or later accomplish the mission against Iran, stressing that his goal is to overthrow the regime.
It also came after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that his country's updated proposal to open the Strait of Hormuz is still on the table. He considered that the Iranian conditions were reasonable and had previously been presented in the initial agreement signed between Tehran and Washington last June.
Since the outbreak of war on February 28, following US-Israeli raids on Tehran, movement has been paralyzed in the Strait of Hormuz, through which five oil and gas shipments around the world pass.
Meanwhile, American forces imposed a stifling naval blockade on Iranian ports.
While diplomatic efforts have not yet succeeded in bringing the American and Iranian parties back to the dialogue table after the collapse of the initial agreement signed in Islamabad last summer.
