The Secretary-General of the Kuwaiti Cabinet, Saleh Suleiman Al-Mulla, affirmed Kuwait's full commitment to continue working on completing the implementation of all decisions issued by the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council, based on Kuwait's belief in the importance of comprehensive and integrated implementation of those decisions, in order to achieve the desired goals.
This came in a speech delivered by Al-Mulla during the 27th meeting of the ministerial committee tasked with following up on the implementation of decisions related to joint action in the Council of Cooperation, which was held today, Sunday, via video conferencing, with the presence of the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi.
Al-Mulla stated that the rapid challenges and changes witnessed in the region and the world impose on the Gulf Cooperation Council countries the necessity to enhance their unity and integration, and to double efforts to accelerate the pace of joint Gulf work.
He added that "the full implementation of the joint Gulf decisions is no longer just a procedural or organizational matter, but has become a strategic necessity to enhance the Gulf Cooperation Council's ability to respond to challenges, consolidate its security and stability, achieve sustainable development, and enhance its regional and international standing."
He confirmed that the regular meetings of this committee, along with the constructive discussions and precise follow-up, reflect the shared commitment to implement the decisions of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and not just to approve them, ensuring that they have a tangible impact on the reality of joint Gulf work and the interests of the citizens of the member states.
He indicated that the success of the GCC in performing its tasks is measured by its ability to translate the directives and decisions of the leaders of the member states into practical results that the Gulf citizen feels in their daily life, whether through facilitating their movement, residence, and work, enhancing their benefit from economic, educational, health, and social opportunities, or providing a more integrated, secure, and prosperous Gulf environment.
Al-Mulla explained that thanks to the wise visions of the leaders of the GCC member states, the council has been able to establish its position as a successful regional system and achieve many accomplishments and gains in various fields of joint work, at the political, economic, security, social, developmental, and humanitarian levels.
He stated that everyone has a duty to preserve those gains and work on developing and highlighting them in a way that meets the aspirations of the Gulf citizen, enhances their sense of Gulf citizenship, and enables them to fully benefit from the decisions, regulations, and programs approved by the member states.
Al-Mulla reiterated, according to Al-Qabas newspaper, that the State of Kuwait, based on its steadfast approach and firm belief in the importance of the GCC as the collective Gulf house, will continue to support everything that would enhance its path and solidify its unity and integration. It will also continue to work and coordinate with the member states and the General Secretariat to complete the implementation of the joint decisions and overcome any challenges that may hinder them, embodying the directives of the leaders of the member states and achieving the hopes and aspirations of their peoples.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of State and Secretary-General of the Cabinet of the United Arab Emirates, Mariam Al-Hamadi, the Minister of Shura and Representatives Council Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ghanem Al-Buainain, the Secretary-General of the Cabinet of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Khalid Al-Abdulkarim, the Secretary-General of the Cabinet of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Al-Fadl Al-Harthi, and the Secretary-General of the Cabinet of the State of Qatar, Hamad Al-Muhannadi.
The delegation of the State of Kuwait at the meeting was headed by the Secretary-General of the Cabinet, Saleh Suleiman Al-Mulla, and included the Assistant Secretary-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, Sheikh Sabah Ahmad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the advisor in the Gulf Cooperation Council Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fahd Mohammed Al-Awadhi, the Director of the Office of the Secretary-General of the Cabinet, Adel Al-Sayed Omar, the Director of the Department of Monitoring Military Medals and International Agreements at the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, Malak Rahim Al-Rashidi, and the Director of the Technical Office at the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, Rasha Abdullah Al-Asqa.
