Mada Al-Arab Welcomes the Chairman and CEO of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority

Ramallah - Afaq News - Mada Al-Arab Company received Mr. Faiz Al-Husseini, Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in Palestine, and Engineer Amjad Al-Asili, the CEO of the Authority, at its headquarters in Ramallah, where they were welcomed by Mr. Mohammed Al-Alami, Chairman of Mada Company, and members of the executive management of the company.
During the meeting, several issues and developments related to the Palestinian telecommunications sector were discussed, including the challenges and opportunities facing the sector, in addition to discussing ways to enhance the work and investment environment, develop telecommunications infrastructure, and support fair competition, which contributes to improving the quality of services provided to citizens and expanding their reach.
Mada's management presented during the meeting an overview of the company's business development over recent years, the expansion it has achieved in its networks and infrastructure and services, as well as showcasing the company's investments in developing the fiber optic network and enhancing the spread of internet and modern telecommunications services in various areas.
The company also reviewed its vision regarding several issues that affect the development of the Palestinian telecommunications market, and the importance of having a clear, stable, and fair regulatory environment that ensures balanced competition among operators, and encourages continued investment in networks, infrastructure, and technology, which positively reflects on service quality, prices, and the experience of the Palestinian subscriber.
Mada's management confirmed during the meeting the company's commitment to continue investing in the national telecommunications infrastructure, expanding its network coverage, developing its services, and working to provide an advanced telecommunications and internet experience that meets the needs of individuals, businesses, and Palestinian institutions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue and coordination between the authority and the companies operating in the sector, and the joint work to address the challenges facing the telecommunications market, and to create a suitable environment for investment, development, and fair competition, in a way that serves the public interest and contributes to the development of the Palestinian digital economy.
