Tel Aviv - Ofoq News - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a message to his supporters, in which he called for mobilizing support for the right-wing camp ahead of the elections, warning that any political tie might open the way to the formation of a competing government led by Gadi Eisenkot.
Netanyahu said, in a post on his Facebook account, that he continues his tours throughout Israel to meet citizens and listen to their concerns, stressing his determination to continue working for what he described as Israel’s security and prosperity.
Netanyahu considered that the upcoming elections represent a decisive stage, placing the competition between a right-wing government led by him and a competing government led by Eisenkot, which may include other political parties and figures, including the Arab parties, Yair Golan, Avigdor Lieberman, and Naftali Bennett.
Referring to the relationship with Washington, Netanyahu said that Israel has two years remaining in US President Donald Trump’s term, considering that this period represents an opportunity to complete major tasks on various political and security fronts.
