Fuel prices in Morocco have risen with the beginning of October, with an increase of 80 centimes per liter of diesel and 39 centimes per liter of gasoline.

According to observations recorded at stations in Casablanca, the price of a liter of diesel jumped from its previous levels between 15.30 and 15.33 dirhams (1.58 USD), settling between 16.10 and 16.13 dirhams (1.66 USD) per liter, while the price of gasoline is around 15.58 to 15.59 dirhams (1.61 USD), after fluctuating between 15.19 and 15.20 dirhams (1.57 USD).

These prices remain subject to slight increases and variations depending on distribution networks and the locations of stations across different regions of Morocco, according to the Moroccan site "Le360".

This surge continues a similar upward trend that began in mid-July. Diesel recorded an initial increase of 69 centimes per liter at that time, followed by a rise of one dirham at the beginning of August, then another increase of 65 centimes in mid-August, followed by 6 centimes at the beginning of September, and 34 centimes on the sixteenth of September. With the increase scheduled for Wednesday night, the total cumulative rise in the price of diesel amounts to about 3.54 dirhams per liter.

Gasoline prices witnessed an increase of 39 cents in mid-July, followed by a full dirham at the beginning of August, before recording a decline of about 30 cents in mid-August, only to rise again by 27 cents on September 16. Thus, the cumulative total of gasoline price increases reaches approximately 1.75 dirhams per liter.
