The head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, confirmed today, Wednesday, that there is no place for an agent, traitor, or mercenary in Sudan.

The Sudanese army stated in a statement published on its Facebook page today that this came during Al-Burhan’s visit to Wadi Halfa and the Northern State to assess the overall situation in the region and the level of provision of necessary services to citizens.

Al-Burhan indicated, during his address to the public meeting in the city of Halfa, that the country’s doors are open to all Sudanese who desire peace, return and dialogue, stressing his categorical rejection of any external dictates.

He added that the meeting represents a practical message of solidarity between the people and their leadership, stressing that the Sudanese people have the right to determine their fate and choose who will rule them through elections.

He also saluted the forces stationed on all fronts to defend Sudan's sovereignty, security and stability, reiterating their determination to eliminate the rebel militia.

Al-Burhan thanked Egypt, stressing that Egyptian nationals in Sudan enjoy full security and care, and stressing the importance of continuing cooperation and activating the joint trade movement to enhance the interests of the two countries.

Al-Burhan also praised the role of clerics in promoting national unity and popular cohesion in Sudan, saying that they “represent beacons of truth and guidance.”

Al-Burhan explained that the Sudanese people believe in centrism and moderation, and reject extremism and extremism in religion, praising the role of roads in strengthening the principles of national unity.

He said that his visit to the region came to find out the problems facing agriculture in the northern state, especially in the three projects of Al-Barqiq, Karma and Al-Daffa.

There has been a fight between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces for control of the country and its economic resources since April 2023.

Tens of thousands of people were killed, and more than 14 million people were displaced as a result of the conflict.
