Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan aroused the interest of his followers on social media, after he published a sarcastic statement on his social media accounts, in which he promoted his series “Ashmawy,” which he indicated would be shown in the 2027 Ramadan drama season, confirming that the work would consist of 30 episodes.

Mohamed Ramadan published a message, yesterday evening, Tuesday, in which he said: “Advice to the coffee shops of Egypt and the Arab world, provide chairs before Ramadan 27. The largest Arab team in history played only 7 matches in the World Cup, but Ashmawi will play 30 episodes, and God is a witness to what I say.”

In his comment, the artist linked the number of matches played by an Arab team in the World Cup and the number of episodes of his series, in a sarcastic comparison that carries a reference to the audience’s following of dramas during the month of Ramadan, and the gatherings witnessed in cafes to watch matches and television productions.

Mohamed Ramadan’s statement comes within the framework of promoting the “Ashmawy” series, which he indicated his participation in in the 2027 Ramadan season, while confirming that the number of its episodes will reach 30 episodes.

Mohamed Ramadan's fans are awaiting the details of the new work, in light of the interest of Egyptian drama followers in the works expected to be shown during the next Ramadan season.

The series “Jaafar Al-Omda”, which was shown in Ramadan 2023, is one of the most prominent dramatic works presented by Mohamed Ramadan in recent years, and it achieved a wide audience presence at the time of its broadcast.

The series bears the signature of writer Muhammad Ismail Amin, while Peter Mimi is directing. Its events revolve around a crisis facing the hero’s family after one of its members is involved in a complex case, which puts the family facing a series of challenges and conflicts.

It is noteworthy that this is the first television tournament for Ramadan since the series “Jaafar Al-Omda,” which was shown in 2023, before its absence from the competition in subsequent Ramadan seasons.
