Sources confirmed to the Wall Street Journal on Saturday that Iran provided the Houthis with information that contributed to determining the targets of the strikes in Saudi Arabia. The newspaper quoted military experts that the Houthis’ recent tactics indicate that they have received training from Iran.
She added that Iran still supports the Houthis with experts and weapons, despite its denial of interference in Yemen, where there are officers on the front lines.
According to European officials told the Wall Street Journal, Iran has resorted to shipping weapons to the Houthis via small submarines.
The newspaper, citing intelligence information, indicated that the Houthis were planning to threaten the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab.
She added that the Houthis have established joint operations rooms in Lebanon and Iraq.
The "Yemen Dawn" operations launched by the Yemeni government last week are still continuing, with confrontations intensifying between the Yemeni forces and the Houthi militias on several fronts, in addition to recording air strikes on sites used by the Houthis in Sana'a.
Last week, the head of the Yemeni Presidential Command Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, announced the launch of the military operation "Yemen Dawn", with the aim of restoring state institutions, liberating the capital, Sana'a, and ending the "Houthi militia coup" supported by Iran.
