The Syrian Drug Control Administration announced on Sunday that it had thwarted an attempt to smuggle more than 100,000 Captagon pills that were hidden inside the spare tire of a refrigerated truck heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Nassib border crossing.
The administration said in a statement published on its Telegram channel: “The operation resulted in the seizure of the shipment and the arrest of the person involved, while the seized items were duly confiscated, and the arrested person was referred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.”
Yesterday, Saturday, the Narcotics Control Department announced the dismantling of a narcotic smuggling and trafficking network active in the provinces of Deir ez-Zor and Hasakah and on the Iraqi border, noting that the Narcotics Control Branch in Deir ez-Zor was able to dismantle the network, arrested its leader, and confiscated large quantities of the narcotic crystal (H-Bose).
