Ramallah - Afaq News - The Central Elections Commission announced that it received, on the first day of opening the nomination for the 2026 legislative elections, applications for six electoral lists: the Palestine Future Coalition, Justice and Construction, Unity and Democratic Change, the National Initiative (Dr. Mustafa Barghouti and Independents), New Path, and Labor.
The Commission confirmed that submitting a nomination application does not mean the list is accepted definitively, as all applications are subject to review and scrutiny to ensure they meet the legal requirements and that the necessary forms and documents are complete, before a decision is made and the list is officially notified within three days of submitting the application.
It is noteworthy that the nomination period will remain open until 4 PM on Wednesday, October 7, at the Commission's headquarters in Ramallah and the Commission's office in Deir al-Balah, where the Commission has invited the lists wishing to nominate to submit their applications during this period.
