The Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Mathal Al-Huwaila, affirmed the commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of information and documents, and not to issue or publish statements or news related to the ministry’s work before approving them, in addition to strengthening oversight and protecting public funds and the rights of beneficiaries, and taking the necessary measures regarding any violations.
During her meeting with the ministry’s leaders, Al-Huwaila stressed the importance of raising the efficiency of institutional performance, accelerating the completion of files, and implementing Cabinet decisions and ministerial directives, which is reflected in the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
She also stressed that following up on the files and raising their developments in a proactive and regular manner is the responsibility of the executive leadership, while clarifying what has been accomplished, the obstacles facing implementation, and the proposed solutions to address them.
In this context, it directed the inventory of late files, transactions, and reports, setting clear timetables for their completion, and defining responsibilities for implementation and follow-up, stressing the necessity of completing the work of the committees and submitting their results and recommendations without delay.
At the level of work development, it called for accelerating the review of laws and executive regulations, and submitting integrated proposals to address application challenges and keep pace with the needs of beneficiaries, as well as simplifying procedures, accelerating electronic transformation, seriously dealing with complaints, and following up on addressing their causes.
Al-Huwaila also stressed the need to provide practical solutions and thoughtful alternatives when facing obstacles in services and programs, taking into account the effects of the proposals on the beneficiaries, ensuring continuity of services, and enhancing coordination between the ministry’s sectors to accomplish common topics.
She concluded by emphasizing that performance evaluation is linked to results, quality of service, and speed of delivery, in addition to making decisions within the jurisdiction and following up on its implementation, in a way that achieves the Ministry’s objectives and enhances the beneficiaries’ confidence in its services.
