A Palestinian was martyred near "Ganem" and the army speaks of an attempted ramming.
In a separate incident in the northern West Bank, the Israeli army announced the killing of a Palestinian near the settlement of Ganem, close to Jenin, claiming he attempted to carry out a ramming attack against soldiers.
The army stated that its forces opened fire on the vehicle's driver while searching for another person believed to be with him.
International media reports, citing the Israeli army, confirmed that there were no injuries among the soldiers, while Palestinian sources reported the young man's death and the detention of his body.

Netanyahu orders reinforcement of troops in the West Bank.
Following the security developments, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced instructions to the army and the General Security Service (Shabak) to reinforce troops in the West Bank and to carry out arrests and additional security measures.
These instructions come at a time when the Israeli security establishment is preparing to raise the level of readiness ahead of Yom Kippur, amid fears of new attacks during the Jewish holiday period.
Israeli reports have indicated an increase in military deployment in various areas of the West Bank, coinciding with ongoing search and pursuit operations.
Security escalation on the eve of Yom Kippur
The events on Sunday coincided with a state of security alert in Israel ahead of Yom Kippur, which is considered one of the most important Jewish religious occasions.
Data in Israeli reports indicate that the army is studying potential security scenarios on multiple fronts, amid ongoing tensions in the West Bank and other areas.
This comes in a security context characterized, since the outbreak of the war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, by an increase in Israeli military operations, Palestinian attacks, and assaults carried out by settlers against Palestinians.
The West Bank is witnessing a continuous escalation that includes raids, arrests, road closures, and military checkpoints, alongside attacks targeting both Israelis and Palestinians.
