The quantities of oil needed to operate electrical generators in hospitals in Gaza have run out

Gaza: Ofoq News The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the quantities of oil needed to operate electrical generators in hospitals had run out.

It confirmed in a statement that the crisis means the immediate mechanical collapse and wear and tear of the remaining electrical generators operating under complex engineering and technical conditions.

She explained that stopping the operation of generators would lead to the disruption of the power supply to many vital and life-saving departments.

She pointed out that the monthly need for oil exceeds 2,500 liters to operate electrical generators.

She added: “The Ministry of Health has always warned that “emergency solutions” that provide limited quantities of oil do not allow more time for generators to operate, which increases their consumption of oil due to their long working hours and their urgent need for maintenance.”

The Ministry of Health has placed all concerned authorities under their humanitarian responsibilities to intervene immediately to ensure the entry of oils and spare parts necessary to ensure the continued operation of electrical generators.
