Anwar Gargash, the diplomatic advisor to the President of the UAE, confirmed that his country’s approach remains firm in formulating political solutions, stressing that wars “only lead to more crises,” in light of speculation about a possible escalation between America and Israel on the one hand and Iran on the other hand after the upcoming American midterm elections. Gargash previously wrote on his page on the “X” platform, Twitter: “In light of the ambiguity of the regional scene and the increasing rumors and speculation regarding paths of escalation and confrontation, the UAE’s approach remains firm, clear, and based on wisdom, balance, and the primacy of the language of dialogue and political solutions.
The presidential advisor explained that "this stage requires the highest levels of self-control, flexibility and rationality, far from the logic of escalation." Gargash continued: "The region's experiences have proven that wars only lead to more crises, and that diplomacy is the most effective way to maintain security and achieve peace and stability."
Speculation has been increasing recently about a new round of escalation after the upcoming US midterm elections, as US President Donald Trump has repeatedly hinted at the possibility of launching intense attacks on Iran in early November.
