U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth spoke on Wednesday about some of the achievements of the forces participating in Operation "Epic Fury" or the epic anger against Iran.

Hegseth stated that the aircraft carrier group "Abraham Lincoln" planned and executed 40 days of combat operations and a tight maritime blockade against Iran in support of Operation "Epic Fury."

The U.S. Secretary added that "the group demonstrated decisive combat power and achieved maritime superiority to meet the strategic objectives of the president and enhance the security of the United States."

The Secretary discussed some operational details, noting that: "the group conducted 3,693 combat air sorties, dropped 1.37 million pounds of munitions, launched 450 Tomahawk land-attack missiles, shot down 77 one-way attack drones, and sunk -sorry- I was mistaken- 64 Iranian warships, destroyed 21 anti-ship cruise missiles, and defended against four fast attack boats and explosive-laden sailing vessels."

Higsieth added: "We have made an agreement with the Iranian Navy. We decided to share the ocean with them. They got the southern half of it/the bottom. We have sunk 59 of their ships! They had a modern naval fleet before this conflict started. Then they had to deal with the American aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln."

Regarding the goals of the American operation, Higsieth said: "Our mission ensures that Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons, and it is a historic mission that I was a part of, and it will ensure it, then the subsequent blockade, which has been impenetrable since day one. It is not a blockade. It is a steel wall."

He added: "Our forces changed the course of history and ensured that the madmen and the theocrats do not get nuclear weapons, and this changes the course of history."
