The forum is held under the patronage of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and during its session it discusses five studies that address a number of priority economic and development issues, including a study on enhancing the use of smart agriculture technologies by taking advantage of artificial intelligence and other influential technologies to achieve food and water security in the Kingdom.

The forum also reviews the study of strategies for transferring and localizing knowledge and expertise among local cadres and their impact on the performance of Saudi organizations, which deals with mechanisms for transferring and localizing knowledge and expertise, and enhancing the capabilities of national cadres, in a way that supports building sustainable institutional capabilities and raises performance efficiency, according to the Saudi News Agency (SPA).

The forum will discuss the “Study of Traffic Congestion in Major Cities: Causes and Solutions,” which addresses the causes and effects of congestion, and examines solutions that can contribute to improving the efficiency of urban transportation and reducing its economic, social, and environmental repercussions, and the study “Measuring the Impact of Legislation and Public Policies to Support Sustainable Development and the Saudi Vision 2030,” which deals with developing tools to measure the impact of legislation and public policies, in a way that enhances the effectiveness of policies, links their results to development goals, and supports evidence-based decision-making.

Discussions include a study on “Maximizing the Economic and Social Returns from Hosting Expo 2030 and the 2034 World Cup,” which reviews maximizing the benefit from the Kingdom’s hosting of these two global events, and turning them into economic and development opportunities that support investment, local content, diversification of the economy, and provide new opportunities for the private sector.
