The US State Department confirmed on Wednesday that the United States has cut off the Iranian regime's ability to deliver money and supplies to its agents, indicating that Tehran no longer has the money necessary to support them, nor the ability to deliver it to them.
US State Department spokesman Tommy Pigot said in exclusive statements to Al-Arabiya channel that the Iranian regime is no longer able to deliver supplies and funds to its affiliated parties, stressing that Washington has succeeded in cutting off this ability.
He added that the Iranian regime "does not have money and cannot deliver it to its agents," confirming the American position regarding Tehran's ability to continue providing financial support and supplies to its allies.
In a related context, Pigot stressed that the United States has witnessed “historic progress” towards implementing the framework agreement in Lebanon.
In his statements to Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath, the US State Department spokesman stressed that disarming Hezbollah is necessary to achieve peace in Lebanon.
He also explained that the deconfliction mechanism allows the United States to know what is happening on the ground in Lebanon, within the framework of following developments related to the implementation of the agreement.
Pigot's statements came to link the American position on Iran's ability to support its proxies, and the efforts related to implementing the framework agreement in Lebanon, with Washington stressing the necessity of disarming Hezbollah to achieve peace in the country.
