A snapshot from the English Premier League.. A player scores a goal with his head while sitting on the ground

Jan van Hecke scored a goal that helped Tottenham Hotspur win over Crystal Palace, 2-0, at the Awal Stadium, on Saturday, in the ninth round of the English Premier League (Premier League). The goal of Van Hecke, 26 years old, came in a strange way in the 73rd minute of the match.

Spurs player Matheus Fernandez sent a curved cross into the opponent's penalty area, before Jan van Hecke rose to it and headed the ball. Then, Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson blocked the ball and then it hit the crossbar.

After that, Van Hecke fell to the ground, but his desire to score continued, so he returned again and sent the ball towards the opponent’s goal while sitting on the ground, before it reached the net. Jan van Hecke reached goal No. 2 in the Premier League this season 2026/27.
