"Ridiculous".. Coach of a Rival to Barcelona Criticizes the Non-Nomination of Raphinha for the Ballon d'Or

- Raphinha scored a hat-trick, leading his team Barcelona to victory over Sevilla with a score of 1/3, at the latter's stadium on Sunday, in the seventh round of the Spanish league (La Liga). After scoring the "hat-trick", Raphinha reached a total of 15 goal contributions in 7 rounds of the "La Liga" competition this season 2027/2026.

Despite his brilliance in the past two seasons, Rafinha was not included in the list of nominees for the 2026 Ballon d'Or for the best football player. In statements reported by "TNT SPORTS" on Sunday, the coach of the "Seville club", Luis Garcia, said that the Brazilian international's lack of nomination for the "Ballon d'Or" is "a ridiculous matter."

He added: "It's a joke, he's a decisive player, and that's why I don't believe in these awards, he does everything." He continued: "Barcelona plays at the highest level, although what matters to me is Sevilla."

He continued: "Barcelona had to give their best to defeat us, and I am proud of my players."
